These eggless cookies with a double hint of chocolate and spices with flavor-boosting orange is a delicious dessert and makes a perfect gift.

Ingredients
1/3cupdark cocoa powderunsweetened
4tbspbutter
1/3cupsugar
2/3cupall purpose flourplain flour
2tbspcorn flour
1/4tspbaking powder
Pinch of nutmeg powder
Pinch of Salt
Pulp of 1 orange
1/2tspgingerfinely chopped
1/2tsppure vanilla extract
1/3cupchocolate morsels
1/4cupchopped pistachios
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Keep aside.
Mix the dark cocoa powder and butter and melt in a heatproof bowl over a vessel of simmering water. Stir until smooth and set aside to cool slightly.
In another bowl, whisk together sugar, corn flour, all purpose flour, baking powder, nutmeg powder and salt.
Now add the orange pulp, chopped ginger, vanilla extract, the cooled dark chocolate-butter mixture and mix well.
Finally add the chocolate morsels and chopped pistachios and mix until just combined.
Scoop balls of the cookie dough on to the baking sheets, leaving space between them.Flatten the balls slightly with the back of the spoon.
Bake for 12 minutes on the middle rack of the preheated oven, until firm but not crisp.
Remove from the oven. Let the cookies cool completely for 10 minutes.
Notes
Remove the white rind and the thin membrane covering the orange sections. Otherwise the cookie will taste bitter. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
