Peel and cut the plantains into thick round slices. Keep aside.
Bring the orange syrup to a boil. reduce the flame to medium-low.
Add the plantain slices into the hot syrup.
Using a spoon, pour the syrup over each slice while cooking.
Cook for 5 minutes on low heat.
Remove from the stove.
Add 4-5 slices into each glass. Pour some orange syrup on top of it.
Serve warm. Enjoy.
Notes
You can also use banana instead of plantains. But banana usually cooks very fast, maybe 2-3 minutes. If you over-cook the banana, they will become mushy.You can slice the plantains lengthwise also.For an added richness, serve with fresh whipped cream.
