I told you before I’m going to enjoy cranberries year around when I posted the recipe for Cranberry sauce. For a cooling summer, we made this orange cranberry slush with the same sauce. I told you, enjoy that gorgeous little red gems all year around, not just Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Usually we will be busy during summer and fall. We have lots of outdoor activities to do before the next winter knocks our door. So when the fruits are in season, preserve it. I preserved cranberries from last winter by making the sauce, so that I can have it on hand whenever I need them. And this summer, cranberry slush became our most popular drink.
The appearance of orange make the slush more refreshing. The beverage is non-alcoholic. So the kids can also enjoy. But if you want a summer cocktail, mix your favorite boozy drink with the slush and you are good to go.
Look at the beautiful red slush and think of all the special occasions or parties to serve them. The first occasion that comes to our mind when thinking of cranberry is Thanksgiving. But let’s think beyond Thanksgiving; there is Christmas, New year, Valentine’s day, July 4th, picnics and a lot…. If you have a jar of cranberry sauce in the refrigerator, you can surprise the drop-in guests with your instant homemade slush, right? Let’s make it……
