Back with a tempered spicy yogurt recipe, almost after 2 years. Food memories are very robust. Many foods we eat not only satisfies our hunger. It sometimes take us back in time, to places we have not been for a long time. Food is of nostalgic importance at times.
We taste the memory first. This yogurt recipe has such a nostalgic importance to me. We used to make our own yogurt/curd. Now a days it is available in shops. Still we prefer to use homemade yogurt. You can also try making yogurt at home.
While growing up, we never wanted any other side dish for rice if amma prepares this tempered spicy yogurt. Since it took only 10 minutes to prepare this, it was easy for her as well. The best combination amma makes is plain red rice served with tempered spicy yogurt and egg omelette.
